The BYU Cougars women's basketball team represents Brigham Young University in NCAA Division I competition. The Cougars, which compete in the Big 12 Conference, play their home games in the Marriott Center in Provo, Utah. BYU officially joined the Big 12 Conference on July 1, 2023. As of the end of the 2023–24 regular season, the Cougars have an all-time record of 934 wins and 557 losses.

History

Records have been kept since the 1972–73 season. In the 1981–82 season, the BYU women's basketball team beat Oregon State when it made it to the post-season, but then it lost to University of Hawaii in the second round. BYU went to the third round of the NCAA Tournament in 2002, and lost to University of Tennessee.

The BYU Women’s Basketball Team, representing Brigham Young University, is a prominent program within NCAA Division I women's college basketball.
